Raptor Celebrates Fourth of July With Massive Burnout
Ford F-150 Raptor owner exercises his American freedom by turning rubber into smoke!
This week’s “Tire Smokin’ Tuesday” video features a first generation Fords SVT Raptor doing a pair of smoky burnouts. There aren’t many details on this truck, but the lack of engine badges on the door suggests it’s powered by the 5.4L V8, which delivered 310 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque when stock. Based on the roar of this F-150 though, there is a good chance that it’s not completely stock. It may feature stock wheels and tires, but the exhaust sounds a bit louder and the burnout is impressive.
This appears to be a burnout competition, or some sort of event with a designated burnout box. We can see that there’s lots of water on the box, and serious rubber on the tarmac.
On the first attempt, the Raptor begins smoking the passenger’s side rear tire, but the judge standing next to the window isn’t impressed. So he stops, much to the dismay of the crowd. Then, the Raptor engages the electronic locking rear differential and goes for it again!
The crowd suddenly rejoices, but you’ll have to watch the video to find out why.
