Ford Ranger Raptor Walkaround Video will Make You Drool
New Zealand Ford dealer highlights what makes the Ranger Raptor so awesome.
The return of the Ford Ranger is a big deal. The introduction of the Ford Ranger Raptor is an even bigger deal, but there’s one problem. If you live in the United States, then you can’t get one. No worries, mate. Team Hutchinson Ford in New Zealand is here to show you what you’re missing.
They give a good look at the Raptor pointing out key features that make this something special. He notes there are strengthened side rails that can withstand an extra G of force. There are also new mounting points for the suspension and he gets under the Ranger Raptor so you can see for yourself. This makes enough room for racing shocks that even have the Ranger Raptor logo.
He gets into details like the functional air vents located next to the lights and again up on the sides of the front fenders. Everything on the Raptor is there because it does something, not just to make it look cool. Although, yeah, it does look cool.
His walkaround includes a look under the hood where he points out the engine cover, which doesn’t sound terribly exciting, but is special in the Ranger Raptor. That cover isn’t the usual stiff plastic cover. Instead it has foam so it’s more flexible. This helps reduce noise, vibration, and harshness.
The video also includes a few shots from inside the Raptor. This includes the front seats, which have an embossed Raptor logo and are heavily bolstered. These are specifically designed for the Raptor and aren’t just the usual Ranger seats with a cosmetic update. Take a look and see what you can’t have if you live in the United States.
