Ford Orders a Wake Up Call About Aluminum

2016 Ford F-150 ads

Newsflash, the 2015 Ford F-150’s body is made out of aluminum! Of course, you already knew that because you are the best Ford fans. But for the rest of the American population, they might know that the trucks are aluminum (with a steel frame, of course) and what those benefits of aluminum are. To further drive home that point, Ford is issuing a wake up call by way of a new commercial.

“Cock-a-doodle-doo, pal.”

If you want to know what the benefits of Ford going to aluminum on the F-150 (and eventually the 2017 Super Duty), look no further than this 30 seconds. The body doesn’t rust. The F-150 has best-in-class towing. The F-150 gets best-in-class gasoline fuel economy. Aluminum is the only way to go, according to Ford.

“Because in the truck game,” Ford claims, “it’s either the aluminum age, or the stone age.”

To my knowledge, this is one of the first commercials to tout that aluminum won’t rust. I believe it’s one thing Ford should really emphasize more of.

What do you think of this latest advertisement from Ford? Are you more convinced aluminum is the way to go, or are you unchanged? Let us know over in the forums!
