Ford Offers Us Flux Capacitor Option to Get New Raptor Sooner
If you haven’t figured it out already, today is Back to the Future Day! This is the day, in Back to the Future Part II, where the Doc and Marty travel to in the future for the movie. As a result, many manufacturers are taking advantage of this to do some Back to the Future related stunts.
Ford is offering something unique when you visit their site and try to build a Focus or Fiesta. For an additional $1.21 million U.S., you can fit your Fiesta or Focus with a Flux Capacitor that gives your Ford the ability to time travel.
We are going to order one so we can get to the future and drive the 2017 Ford Raptor even sooner! But to do it, we need to make sure you have a Ford capable of hitting the magical 88 miles-per-hour in our local mall parking lot.
To make sure we can, we went ahead and fully-optioned up a Focus RS with the Cup tires. We also went for the full leather and all the trimmings, because as Doc Brown said, “The way I see it, if you’re gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?”
The grand total of our custom-built Focus RS is $1,252,970. If we manage to come up with 10% down (we’ll need to crowd-fund it), we can get a 5-year loan on the car that’ll only set us back $21,281 per month! Not bad to get to drive the Raptor today, right?
