We told you last week that now’s a good time to be in the market for a new Ford F-150. Now, USA Today is saying the same thing.

The outlet brings news of aggressive incentives in places such as Washington D.C. and California. In the latter, the amounts offered on high-end 2015 F-150s top $7,000. Ford’s site advertises a similar amount – divided into various types of incentives – is available on the SuperCab or SuperCrew XLT with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 and the Chrome or Sport Package.

USA Today goes on to mention the 8.9-percent drop in F-Series sales last month and a Kelley Blue Book analyst’s statement that Ford’s new half-ton “hasn’t sold up to expectations for the most part.” The frame shortage Ford experienced earlier this year certainly didn’t help matters.

Ford spokesman Mike Levine said, “Some incentives encourage customers to purchase better-equipped trucks while others reward our customers for their loyalty or financing through Ford Credit.”

For instance, at a dealership here in Austin, Texas you can get a Lariat SuperCrew FX4 with the 5.0-liter V8 for $44,199 after a $2,000 factory rebate and dealer savings of $6,306. Plus, you can get an additional $750 rebate if you finance through Ford Motor Credit as well as a $500 rebate if your vehicle was damaged in the disastrous weather Texas recently experienced.

It’s reasonable to assume that such incentives will become more generous as the 2016 F-150s start rolling in.

Some of you here on Ford-Trucks have mentioned seeing your local dealer’s lot with plenty of 2015 F-150s on it. What kinds of incentives/rebates is your nearest dealership offering on them?
