Ford Truck Enthusiasts at the 2017 New York Auto Show
Police Interceptors may have taken the spotlight, but Ford trucks and SUVs were ready to rumble in New York City.
Ford Truck Enthusiasts made the trip to the Big Apple to bring you up to speed on all things 2018. The Blue Oval revealed big news on the first of the media-only days, with their newest and greenest special use vehicle — the Ford Fusion Hybrid Interceptor.
As you’d imagine, the New York Auto Show isn’t exactly the biggest venue for truck-related news, so we weren’t surprised when Ford didn’t make any announcements regarding the 2018 F-150, or the upcoming Ranger and Bronco.
That being said, a gorgeous 2018 Ford F-150 Platinum took center stage on the relatively small booth (it’s New York, remember?), along with a 2018 Expedition MAX and short wheelbase.
The lightly refreshed 2018 Explorer was present on the show floor, and so was Ford’s tiny and cute EcoSport, although it wore a somewhat ugly metallic brown color. Unlike most international auto shows, New York’s Jacob Javits Center isn’t the size of a small city like Chicago’s McCormick and Detroit’s Cobo, so manufacturers typically bring less inventory and less “show.”
We're live at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, so stay tuned for more on the 2018 Ford Trucks and SUVs. #nyias

We were able to spend quality time with the 2018 Expedition, something which was nearly impossible to do at its debut in Chicago two months ago. If you’re in the market for a 2018 F-150 or Expedition, make sure to check out the photo gallery and Facebook video.
