The Ford GT Has a Massive Active Rear Wing
For as much press as the new Ford GT has received, it seems that everyone and their mother have missed one of the most important aspects about the new Ford supercar, the rear wing. I know what you must be thinking right now, “what rear wing?”
Well, besides the lower deck lid wing we’ve seen on the prototype, which doesn’t exactly count as a wing, the new Ford GT actually has a deploy-able wing and active aero dynamics.
Spied in the upcoming Forza Motorsport 6 video game, as you can see here, the new Ford GT has a rear wing much like the LaFerrari, the P1, and the 650S. It not only increases the overall down force on the car when deployed, but like the hypercars mentioned above, it will also act as an air brake.
While we haven’t seen this active aero on the production mules yet, now that the cats out of the bag, I’m sure that more and more spy photos will be leaking out with the wing deployed.
Who can’t wait until this car rolls off the production line?
