Ford Fiesta ST Special Edition Gets More Horsepower!

Ford Fiesta ST

Good news, the new Ford Fiesta ST gets an extra 18 horsepower! Bad news, that’s only for European Fiesta ST models!

Don’t be sad just yet, because the extra horsepower bump in the European-only Fiesta actually brings it to par with the American-issued Ford Fiesta ST, which has always produced a feisty 197 horsepower out of its 1.6 liter, inline 4 turbocharged EcoBoost engine.

Although we’ve enjoyed a power advantage in our Fiesta STs from the beginning, the sweet Storm Grey paint, ST200 Recaro seats, 17-inch black alloys, and other visual enhancements are exclusive to the ST200 edition and the European market.

When it comes to other non-engine performance enhancements, it’s still not clear whether the chassis, torque-vectoring, suspension and transmission tweaks announced at the Geneva Motor Show are equal to its American counterpart. We can only hope that means some revisions may come stateside eventually.

It’s not the Fiesta RS we were hoping for, but the tiny hatchback keeps getting cooler and cooler!
