’90s Ford Truck Let’s It All Hang Out: Tire Smokin’ Tuesday
A funky sounding six-cylinder engine didn’t get in the way of this boxy Ford F-Series doing a massive burnout for the crowd.
This week’s “Tire Smokin’ Tuesday” video comes to us courtesy of Frenchycn, and it features a ninth-generation (1992-1997) Ford F-Series pickup, putting on a show at the Rides at Rockwood event in New Brunswick, Canada.
Sadly, there aren’t any details on this sweet ’90s Ford truck, but it clearly has a lift kit of some sort, and big, beefy tires to traverse rugged Canadian terrain. At least it typically does, because the driver has swapped the rear mud tires for a set of tiny ones, which are much easier to spin and turn into smoke.
The tire swap was most likely a necessary move, as it definitely sounds like this F-Series is powered by a 4.9-liter six-cylinder engine, delivering somewhere in the area of 150 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. However, it also sounds like it has a manual transmission, which when coupled with the tiny tires it allows the lifted Ford to do a massive burnout.
As the video begins, it’s easy to see that all the driver has to do is sit on the throttle and spin the tires until they pop. It’s worth sharing that this channel features a bunch of good burnout videos from this event, so make sure to check them out.
