2015 Ford F-150 Named North American Truck of the Year!
What? No way! The 2015 Ford F-150 has been named North American Truck/Utility of the Year beating out the Chevrolet Colorado and the Lincoln MKC for the honor.
The news was announced at the start of the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan.
“Ford is honored to be named the best among such a strong field of competitors,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford Honcho of The Americas. “Ford employees and customers have a lot to be proud of with the innovative and award-winning F-150.”
This is the eighth time that a Ford vehicle has snagged the prestigious annual award and the news probably comes as no big surprise to most Ford enthusiasts.
Over 50 journalists voted on the all-new vehicles and the winner was judged on variables that included innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value.
The all-new aluminum F-150 easily beat out the competition in those categories.
