1965 Ford F-100 ‘Hoon Truck’ Is Daily Driven

Ford F-100 “Hoon Truck” project depicts an Average Joe turning his vintage dream truck into an everyday reality.

Do you desire to drive your dream Ford truck every day, but you’re worried about its reliability? You’re not alone. After all, many folks resort to enjoying their favorite rides on weekends only or turning them into pricey resto-mods. Then, there’s Hooniverse’s F-100 “Hoon Truck.”

Hoon Truck is a 1965 Ford F100 — the kind of classic project truck that everyone should aspire to own someday. It’s clean overall, but it has just enough dust and patina to make it a worthy and worry-less daily-driver.

Hooniverse’s Jeff Glucker tends to work on his own stuff, but he’s also smart enough to know when he’s in over his head. When that happens, he calls on professionals to finish the job. There’s no shame in that. If you haven’t watched the entire Hoon Truck series, you really should!

This most recent episode involves fixing a stuck throttle pedal, ditching the stock mechanical fans, upgrading to dual electric cooling fans, and replacing the old, pitted glass with a brand new one.

Short of a few leaks Glucker’s yet to diagnose and repair, the truck runs and drives as well as it ever has. If you ask us, it looks like he’s ever so close to having the vintage Ford F-100 daily driver he’s always desired.
