Ford Explorer Platinum Adventure Tour: Grand Junction to Durango, Colorado Picture Gallery

By -

Ford’s Explorer model has been an automotive icon for the past quarter of a century, so you’d think the company wouldn’t even have to advertise it at this point. However, that’s exactly what the Blue Oval is doing with its 2016 model – specifically the Platinum variation. Over the past several weeks, Ford’s had journalists drive the most prestigious Explorer, which features leather and genuine wood and aluminum trim as well as a long list of standard features, from Canada all the way down to Albuquerque, New Mexico to show it off.

I was invited to drive the competitor to the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit from Grand Junction to Durango, Colorado. My review of the Explorer Platinum will be out next week, but for now, please enjoy the pictures I shot on the “Ol’ Grandy” leg of the Ford Explorer Platinum Adventure Tour.
