Ford E-Series Stripped Chassis and Cutaway to Get 6.2L V8 Power

By -

Ford E-Series

Even though Ford discontinued the 6.2L V8 in the Raptor, the engine lives on as an option for the Super Duty line of trucks. Due to the success of that very engine in Super Duty, later this year it’ll become an option for the E-Series stripped chassis and cutaway models.

If you’re looking for a Raptor-powered camper or college shuttle bus, you’re in luck. This V8 engine, which also runs on E85 or can be converted to run on compressed natural gas, is a new engine option in addition to the 5.8L V10 that is currently available.

For fleets looking to go green, save a few bucks, or both, the 6.2L V8 option will be a welcome addition to the van lineup, and help grow sales even more in the future.

But seriously, a Ford E-Series camper that’s Raptor-fied really needs to happen!
