1974 Ford Bronco: the High Price of Perfection
Everybody’s got their lottery dream shopping list. And this incredible Ford Bronco is at the top of ours!
It’s a question we’ve all asked ourselves more than once in life. If you won the lottery, what would you do with your massive pot of winnings? Typical answers include everything from paying off debt to taking dream vacations. But for us gearheads, the first thought probably revolves around what kinds of rides we intend to add to our stable. And for us, this stunning 1974 Ford Bronco would be atop that list.
Built (and sold) by Velocity Restorations, this Brittany Blue Bronco is about as perfect as they come. But as the saying goes, perfection comes at a price. In this case, we aren’t talking about sacrifices like waking up early or doing that extra presentation at work. No, you’ll need cold, hard cash to get behind the wheel of this restomod 1974 Ford Bronco. Like just shy of $200k cold.
But for that exorbitant amount of cash, you sure do get a lot. Like a crate 5.0-liter Coyote V8, 5-speed manual ZF transmission, and Dana 44 front/Ford 9-inch rear, both loaded with 4.56 gears. Other top-end goodies include Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners and loads of custom VR parts, from the headers to the 6-point roll cage. A James Duff 3.5″ suspension also makes room for 35″ BF Goodrich K02s.
When you’re spending this kind of cash, you wouldn’t expect anything less. And of course, you’re also paying for stellar build quality. Everything on this first gen Bronco is polished, painted, and simply perfect. But unlike a lot of restomod Broncos, nothing is brash or outrageous. Pretty much exactly what we’d want if we had the means. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to pick our Powerball numbers for this week!
