Muddy Monday: Bigfoot Lookalike Struggles in the Pit
Big suspension lift, big tires, and big attitude, that’s a good way to describe this big, bad, blue Ford truck.
This week’s “Muddy Monday” video features an eighth-generation Ford F-Series pickup truck, which was in production from 1987 through 1991. This video by CarWarz takes place at this year’s Extreme ORV Off-Road Expo.
There aren’t many details on this Ford, but it is a pretty decent clone of the classic Bigfoot monster truck, minus the lettering on the sides. You do not need to be an expert to realize it has an extensive suspension and chassis build, as well as massive mud-slinging tires and plenty of ground clearance under the body. We can also see an extensive bed-mounted cooling system, and there is no question that it has a high-performance V8 under the hood. That being said, we don’t know exactly what kind of engine motivates this beast.
Fortunately, we don’t need engine details to enjoy watching this old Ford storm through the mud over and over with relative ease. In the video, the big blue truck cruises around the outside of the mud pit, making short work of the muddy path as it blasts past a few other trucks.
The driver occasionally slows to handle particularly deep holes, but time and time again, the classic F-Series pulls to dry land. Eventually, the big blue Ford gets stuck on a steep embankment as he heads out of the pit, showing that even the best mud trucks can get stuck.
