2015 F-150 in Guard Green

The 2015 F-150 had a wide variety of colors available, from bright red to white to black. One of the new colors they featured was Guard, a green color that looked very similar to the green used on Steve McQueen’s Mustang in Bullitt.

Guard also looked fantastic with the two-tone color setup on the King Ranch. But, if you’re a fan of the green and looking at a new F-150, you’ll want to pick up a 2015 soon. The color is going away for 2016.

At an event in San Francisco, Ford highlighted some of the changes that are coming to the 2016 F-150. In addition to the Pro Trailer Backup Assist and new appearance package, the also announced some new colors.

Tuxedo Black is going away and being replaced by Shadow Black. But the new Lithium Gray, featured on the demo with the Special Edition Appearance Package is replacing Guard. Lithium is a great color in person, but there are some green buyers who are probably bummed they’re dropping the color.
