New Ford Ad Gives Props to Hard-working Trucks

By -

Ford trucks are takin’ care of business with strength and durability.

Most commercials for trucks show them glammed up and looking pretty. This is not the case in the latest Ford commercial “The Modern Workhorse.” There are no dazzling glamour shots of trucks here. These Ford trucks are working trucks, getting dirty and wet, and getting the job done.

We see shots of a man on the job in construction loading up the bed of his F-150. It’s hard work, it’s a rainy day, it’s a messy job site. New spokesperson Bryan Cranston‘s gravelly voice says in the voiceover, “The cowboys have their horses. The mountaineers, their mules. Even Santa has his reindeer. And this guy? He’s got this truck.”

The worker closes the tailgate door, revealing the classic Blue Oval logo and that strong F-150 badging.

We see the Ford F-150 driving away from the job site, loaded up and tackling the elements with ease. This isn’t a glammed up pickup. This is how many trucks are used, on the job.

The “Built Ford Proud” tag is a nice, bold statement on the imagery. We’re really liking this new ad campaign. It’s honesty is its greatest asset in this spot. And is sure to hit all the right notes with truck lovers.
