Finally, the Production-Ready Ford GT Breaks Cover

By -

Up until now, the Ford GT supercars that we’ve seen on the auto show circuit have all been pre-production concepts. That’s typically when a vehicle is shown relatively far in advance of the on-sale date. Changes happen to make the car compliant to safety specifications and more. To that end, we have here what we believe to be the production-version of the new Ford GT set to go on sale.

Thanks to our pals at Motor Authority, we have this gray Ford GT to show you. Quickly we notice a few detail changes from the versions we’ve seen in the past. They are the larger side mirrors and the orange side markers. The orange markers are for sure a compliance issue. The mirrors could be both a compliance issue or are simply there to improve driver visibility.

We’re ready to get behind the wheel of this beast. Hopefully we’ll get an invite for that press launch (I know, I need to wake up from my dream), but we’ll be sure to bring you all the latest Ford GT coverage when we get it.

Until then, let us know what you think about the new car over in our forums!
