‘Fabulous Fords Forever’ Attracts Amazing Array of Trucks
Popular SoCal event celebrated 70 years of the F-Series, and the machines that showed up were nothing less than stunning.
Fabulous Fords Forever has been one of the very biggest and best all-Ford gatherings since it debuted way back in 1986. Each year on the third Sunday of April, thousands of spectators and countless incredible vehicles flock to Buena Park, California, for one heck of a day. But for 2018, the show was just a little bit more special than usual. Because this year FFF celebrated 70 years of the iconic F-Series.
As you might imagine, that meant we were treated to even more Ford trucks than usual. And luckily, the good folks at Pickup Trucks were there to soak it all in. Fittingly, trucks from every single generation of Ford were in attendance, reaching as far back as a 1929 Model A pickup. And the F-Series selection was nothing less than primo, with everything from a restored ’76 F-250 Camper Special to a ’94 Lightning.
Cool vintage iron was everywhere as well. We were particular fans of an heirloom 1955 F-100, owned by the same family since it was new. Then there was a gorgeous Light Aqua ’54 sitting right next to a period ’50 hot rod. There were plenty of modified, custom rigs as well. Including a restomod 1978 F-100 and even a crazy lifted F-350.
Indeed, this year’s Fabulous Fords Forever show had a little something for every Blue Oval truck fan. It’s no surprise that this event continues to grow in popularity and quality. If you missed this year’s FFF, make sure you put next year’s 34th gathering on the calendar now. Because we can’t imagine anywhere we’d rather be on a fine April Sunday!
