F-150 Smoke Show in Winter Wonderland – Tire Smokin’ Tuesday

By -

It may be cold and snowy outside but this V6-powered Ford F-150 turns a frigid driveway into a blazin’ burnout box!

Most of the Ford pickups we feature “Tire Smokin’ Tuesday” are powered by V8 gasoline or a variety of diesel engines. Surely, most often with some form of forced induction to make them louder and more powerful than stock. Well, this week’s featured Ford pickup is fairly unique, as it’s powered by an entry-level 4.2L V6 engine, which isn’t diesel or have forced induction.

However, as the video title promises, the little F-150 does a burnout of massive proportions.

The clip begins with the owner of the 2000 Ford pickup sharing some details about his truck. He points out the 4.2L V6, and that before he goes to the shop to pickup some new tires, he is going to finish off the current set in grand fashion! For those unsure, the V6 motor in question offered 205 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque for the 2000 model year. The icy driveway allows the truck to get the tires spinning more easily, and the burnt rubber quickly digs down to the pavement under and creates a fantastic smoke show.

The driver keeps the tires spinning until he hears something pop, and while it doesn’t appear to have blown either of the tires, this V6-powered F-150 does an awesome job at sending the tires off into retirement. Don’t you think?
