F-150 EcoBoost: All Hail the Camaro, Mustang, Corvette & Hellcat Slayer!

By -

We don’t enjoy making fun of people, but the look in the opponents’ faces is priceless. “Did I just get beat by a Ford truck?” Yes.

It’s no secret that EcoBoost powerplants put out some serious horsepower. While most of Ford’s updated F-150 engines are just now hitting the streets, the second and third generation 3.5-liter motors made their debut last year. With 375 horsepower and a stout 470 lb-ft of torque, the “little” six-cylinder propels a new F-150 through the quarter-mile in the low 14-second range. But, it’s also capable of much, much more than that!

Aftermarket companies like Brew City Boost offer a host of performance parts capable of turning any EcoBoost-powered F-150 into a drag racing demon. Just look at this innocuous crew-cab FX4 model, for example. With a BCB tune and exhaust, the truck now rips consistent low 12-second passes in the quarter-mile. And apparently, destroys any and every modern muscle car brave enough to line up next to it.

F-150 Ecoboost

It might sound crazy, but this video is all the proof you need that this is the perfect weekday hustler and weekend warrior. With turbos wailing, the full-size truck lays waste to a Camaro SS. Then, a mighty 2017 Camaro ZL1, then a C5 Corvette, Mustang GT350, and even a Challenger Hellcat. The sleeper takes on everyone and knocks them down one after another like some kind of vehicular Mike Tyson. Or should we say, Money Mayweather?

If you’re planning on building your own world-dominating F-150 EcoBoost racer, you might want to stick to the eighth or the quarter-mile though. Watch this video by MNElite and find out why.
