2005 Ford Excursion

CLINT-THE-GREAT has been on our site since 2013 and has since then become a very active and involved member. He is the Assistant Leader for the Illinois Chapter here on FTE, so all of the Illinoisans out there can feel free to give him a shout out from The Prairie State!

In addition his involvement on the site, Clint also owns two wonderful and glorious Fords. Today we’ll take a look inside his garage and see the two rides that make their home between those walls!

2005 Ford Excursion

The first of these two rides is a 2005 Ford Excursion in Ebony Black. The Excursion isn’t always the favorite choice among Ford fans, but no one can argue that it was one great full-size SUV.

Though production on this beastly rig ended back in 2005, they’re still seen on the road very often — and for good reason. Not only do they have a large carrying capacity and true Ford look, but they’re also a blast to drive.

Clint has added ARP head studs, done an EGR bypass, and had the SUV tuned to perfection. Despite the fact that the rig is definitely fun to drive in stock form, it’s always nice when a driver takes some time (and money) to make their Ford just a little bit better!

1997 Ford Thunderbird

The second of the two superb rides is a 1997 Thunderbird. This was the last year that the Bird was in production until it’s rebirth in 2002, which brought it back in an entirely different light.

Clint has taken great care of the ride, and it certainly shows. He has added an aluminum differential, Trac-Lock with carbon fiber clutches, an open air K&N air filter with a Mustang air box, Vogtland 1.5″ lowering springs, and more. This Thunderbird has definitely been well looked after in his care, and hopefully it will keep on going for a long time yet!

2005 Ford Excursion

Clint has done an excellent job looking after his rides and moving them toward their potential. His Excursion is a Ford truck worth envying, and his Thunderbird is certainly a great machine.

Go drop by his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
