Dallas Cowboys, Ford Help Fix Up Texas Fire Station
As a life-long Broncos fan, I don’t generally have a whole lot of love for any other NFL team, let alone the Dallas Cowboys, one of the five to beat us in a Super Bowl. But I’ve got nothing but love for the Cowboys’ offensive line after this Thanksgiving.
That’s because the Cowboys’ offensive line teamed up with Ford and spokesperson Dennis Leary to fix up a dilapidated Dallas-area fire station. For years, the heroes at Station 43 had to live in less-than-desirable conditions as wear-and-tear had decidedly taken its toll.
That’s particularly annoying considering that these heroes put themselves in mortal danger to save perfect strangers’ comfortable homes. So why shouldn’t they have a comfortable home away from home too?
Well, perhaps that’s what the Cowboys thought, too. Because just in time for Thanksgiving, they helped fully restore the fire house and turn it into comfy living quarters more befitting of heroes. Check out Ford’s video below, which you may recall from the Pregame of the Thanksgiving Day Cowboys/Redskins game on Fox.
Not to be outdone, Ford also donated a 2017 Super Duty to Station 43, because what fire house can’t find a good use for one of the these bad boys? And Leary’s The Leary Firefighters Foundation also helped out with $50,000 in firefighting equipment!
Now that’s truly something to be thankful for, even more so than another Broncos Super Bowl title.
