If there’s one thing we never get tired of, it’s hearing the cool stories behind old Ford trucks like this F-250.

One of our favorite things about the Ford Truck Enthusiasts forums are the many cool stories we come across. Many of which involve family. And if there’s anything that brings family closer together or keeps memories alive, it’s an old truck. That’s certainly the case with FTE member 1968Mike, who recently shared a quick story about his nice old 1968 Ford F-250.

“I typically prefer not to post about myself. But I have these two neat pictures and I figured that I would enjoy them if someone else posted them.

This is my dad’s 1968 F-250 Ranger Camper Special. I recently revived it after sitting in storage for 10 years and have been thoroughly enjoying it. The first picture is in the storage building and the second is in a parking lot at my university.

The truck was in an accident long before dad owned it and some front end parts were replaced. I considered installing the correct 1968 Ranger items, but this is the way the truck has been for many, many years and I don’t think I should change that.”

Typically, we’re all about keeping trucks like this old F-250 original. But in this case, we don’t blame the OP one bit for leaving it alone. After all, who wouldn’t want to preserve the many fond memories a truck like this has gifted them? This F-250 is certainly cool enough as is, so be sure and head over here to check it out and give our OP a virtual thumbs up.

Chances are, if you’re reading this, you probably have a cool truck with a cool story to share, too. If so, head over here and tell us about it. And if you aren’t already a member here at FTE, head over here and join today!
