Ford Truck Hit By Crazy Train, Survives Like a Champ

Amtrak vs. F-250

How tough is a Ford truck? Tough enough to survive getting slammed by a train. But, that’s gonna leave a mark.

A Ford truck in LaPlace, Louisiana, recently got stuck on the railroad tracks and was hit by an Amtrak train carrying 200 passengers. Amazingly, neither the driver nor the passengers were injured. And while the F-250 was pummeled, it was still standing. That’s either the best commercial for a Ford truck, or the worst.

According to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sherriff’s Office, the driver was trying to cross at an area where the tracks were closed, and his F-250 got stuck. At this point, the driver no doubt could hear the train a comin’, rolling ’round the bend.

Thankfully, the driver got out of his truck before the train in vain laid into his truck. While the driver was close enough to feel the locomotive breath, he was out of harm’s way. However the same could not be said for his 2005 F-250. But what is truly crazy is this truck was hit by a train going full blast, and damn if isn’t still in one piece! Yeah, we know, it got trashed, but wow. Built Ford tough, indeed.
