Cool Vintage Ford Trucks Found at the GAA Classic Car Auction

1965 Ford F-100

Inventory includes the rare and rad, from a Ford Model T to an F-100 restomod.

The Memory Lane Classic Cars Museum in Eatonton, Georgia once housed the vast private collection of Jerry and June Smith. Sadly, the museum closed last December, but its remaining inventory is being sold at the GAA Classic Car Auction on March 22 through 24.

We went through the lots to see which Fords are going to be included in the event and found quite a variety. The Smiths are parting ways with a broad spectrum of Blue Oval vehicles, including old hot rods, a cool Falcon convertible, several different Mustangs, and a 2006 GT supercar–at no reserve. Of course, the Ford trucks caught our eye.

If you prefer a more old-school look, this F-100 has retro style, as well as a 4.9-liter I6 and automatic gearbox.

The BF Goodrich Silvertown bias-ply tires may be reproductions, but the 239-cubic-inch Flathead V8 is original and paired with a four-speed transmission. The red and white paint job features hand-applied lettering.

Of course there’s a Model T in this vintage Ford collection! This straight and well-kept (more than likely well-restored) black-on-black 1924 model T looks ready to keep rolling for another 94 years.
