Classic Ford Concrete Mixer to Head to Auction
Alright, for those that don’t know, and how could you not, in just a few short months, Las Vegas, Nevada will host the WORLD OF CONCRETE! Yes, that actually is a thing. The World of Concrete is a Concrete Expo where vendors, much in the same vein as SEMA, show off their new wares and new technologies from the world of concrete.
Sounds fascinating I know, but this year, in conjunction with the Concrete Industry Management Program which is “a business intensive program that awards students with a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete industry Management, the trade show plans on auctioning off a 1951 Ford Ready Mix Truck.
According to For Construction Pros, the truck has its original V8 engine, a late 1940’s Rex mixer. A four-cylinder Continental Engine to turn 2-cubic yards in the mixer. And an old gasoline pump with nozzle to add water. The proceeds of the auction will benefit the college program mentioned above. The organizers of the silent auction, which also includes other items, are hoping to reach over $800,000 for the programs across the U.S.
But what do you all think of this awesome concrete truck? Better yet, what’s it worth?
