Truckin’ Fast Wednesday: Classic Ford Roasts a Mustang

Classic Ford

This week’s Truckin’ Fast Wednesday video features what I believe to be a 1967 Ford F-100 pickup, in action at the drag strip against a newer Ford Mustang.

We don’t have any details on either vehicle, but based on the headlights and grille of the truck, I am sure that it is a fifth generation truck (1966-1972). Regardless of the model year, there is no question that this F-100 is one bloody fast pickup truck.

After a pretty impressive burnout, this classic Ford F-100 lines up against the bright green Ford Mustang GT. At that point, you might expect a close race. Unfortunately for the Mustang, you would be wrong.

As soon as the race begins, the classic Ford truck blasts into the lead, and the driver likely never looked back. The final run looked like 9.89 seconds at 137 miles per hour, while the poor Mustang ran a 12.52 second quarter-mile.

Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
