Ford F1

Born of a desire to change the way we looked at pickup trucks, this vintage Ford F1 is as American as apple pie!

Apple pie, fireworks, and Ford trucks. When you think of these things, you think of this great country of ours. And of the many iconic models of pickup we’ve been treated to over the years, are there many more classically American than the Ford F1? This shiny red example, which we spotted over at The Collector Car Network, was one of the first pickups designed to be comfy to drive, after all!

Prior to the Ford F1, trucks weren’t exactly designed to do anything short of haul stuff. So when Ford decided to rethink things like cab design and ergonomics, little did they know they were setting the stage for an unprecedented run of success. Today, we use our trucks for everything. But one thing hasn’t changed since those early days of the civilized pickup – we love them just as much as we did back then!
