Check out Indy’s Coolest Vintage Fords

By -

2016 is a big year for the State of Indiana, but more particularly the city of Indianapolis. For decades, Indy’s biggest attraction has been the famous Indy 500 race, and this year happens to be the 100th running of it.

Indy'sWith the race always taking place on the last weekend of May and over memorial weekend, the entire month is filled with racing-related festivities including car shows, festivals, parades, etc. In fact, many of these vintage and modern Fords belong to current and ex-Indy race drivers. Various car shows have brought out various Ford vehicles that wouldn’t normally be seen at large gatherings, such a private-owned Indiana State Police 1965 Ford Galaxie Custom Pursuit. A stunning candy red 1950 Ford Tudor sat next to a food truck proudly displaying its long and smooth curves and vintage Ford insignia.

Other hugely customized Ford hot rods were also in attendance and were big attention grabbers, though I couldn’t identify year or model. Make sure to let us know in the forums if you can recognize them!
