Can’t Afford The Whole Enchilada? This 1987 Fordiero GT is Almost the Same Thing

1987 Fordiero

Ok, it’s not even close to being the same thing, but it looks pretty good, goes fast, and it’s a ton less cash—literally.

Our friends at Hemmings have a unique 1987 Fordiero GT located in Gilman, Iowa, and according to the description, this wanna be Ford GT40 is a professionally built kit car, and was even featured on the cover of ‘Kit Car Builder Magazine’ back in 2004.

According to the owner, the Fordiero GT has always been covered, and stored in a climate controlled facility, which is somewhat backed up by looking at the interior and engine bay photos. The Fordiero GT features a Chevy block on a mid-engine layout, a manual GM gearbox, and supposedly only 2,500 miles in the odometer.

This head-turning kit car is currently listed at $26,725 and looking a bit dusty. Will you be the one to clean it up and hit the road?
