Perseverance + Hard Work = Your Dream Ford Truck (Video)

By -

Hard work pays off for Brian as he picks up his new Ford F-250 Super Duty.

If you’re a truck enthusiast, nothing can compare to the feeling of driving to the Ford dealership to pick up your new truck. Whether it’s a bare-bones F-150, or a Raptor with all the bells and whistles, buying a new Ford pickup is one of the greatest days of your life, after birth of children, marrying your spouse, and…other things, but you get the point! However, the joy of buying a new truck is all the more rewarding when the truck you’re purchasing is literally your dream vehicle.

For Brian, owner of Brian’s Lawn Maintenance in Wixom, Michigan, it’s been a long time in the making. As he describes in a recent video, Brian has been working his tail off for years building his landscaping business. When he had a little extra money to splurge on things he might want for his personal life, Brian instead took that money and invested in better equipment for his business. And after 10 years, it paid off big time. In the video, you see Brian and his wife on their way to the Ford dealership to pick up his dream vehicle–a 2017 F-250 Lariat FX4 Super Duty.

As the video progresses, you see Brian try to play it cool as he drives to the dealer. He’s clearly happy and excited, but the emotion is being reserved for when he actually sits in the new truck. It’s when he parks his 10 year old F-150 at the dealership that it starts to sink in. He realizes that his truck (named “Old Red”) that he is trading in will be replaced by a much bigger, and decidedly more badass, F-250 Super Duty.

While Brian is without a doubt the subject of the video, his wife steals the show when she sits in the new truck and realizes that the truck represents 10 years of building a business and the work it took to succeed as an entrepreneur. She says how happy and proud she is of her husband. It’s emotional, and if you’re a softy like me, watching the tears well up in her eyes might just make you a little misty-eyed as well.

Brian’s video isn’t about a truck doing something incredible off-road. This isn’t a video about the latest, greatest custom truck that no one could possibly afford. This is a video about an everyday guy, who worked hard, never gave up, and was able to make his dream a reality. Congrats Brian, and enjoy that truck!
