When you’re looking for a new project to take on, chances are that you’re looking for something at least specific. Maybe it doesn’t have to be a certain year or a particular make, but you know what you’re looking for.

Nonetheless, there are times when something comes available that one may not have had in mind, but now it seems to be the favorable choice. Sometimes this can be a bad thing, such as when the vehicle turns out to be very different than what the new owner is used to, and other times it can work out for the better. In the case of today’s article, it seems to be working out just fine!

FTE member Marty, also known by his username martyanderson10, stumbled across this situation when he was browsing Craigslist looking for a Super Cab. He ended up purchasing a promising 1973 Ford F-250 Crew Cab, which certainly wasn’t a bad choice. In fact, this old school rig ran well enough that he was able to drive it all the way home. It started right up on a cold start, and it didn’t really need a whole lot to be a good, running vehicle — so what is there not to like?

After getting the heater working, Marty got to work on doing some body work. The ride is coming along really well, and is definitely moving steadily! Check out his build thread and show your support!
