BUILDUP A 1964 Ford F-100 Project
Build threads are great. Not only do they allow the builder to track what they have done and share it with the world, but they also provide the opportunity for community interaction, help, and even exchange.
It’s amazing how much easier the work can be when people are available to lend their aid, regardless of being on the Internet. FTE member Steve (A.K.A “svolpone”) has been working on his 1964 F-100 for a little while now, and after some convincing he had started a build thread, and it has already helped a great deal.
So far Steve has rewired the entire truck with an American Autowire harness, and it looks pretty good. He has also cut out the old rotted wood from the bed and plans to make a new one himself. He isn’t sure what would he’ll use just yet, but he’s leaning toward oak.
He is also working to fix the loose steering column in the ride, which is no easy task. He has also purchased a new gas tank, since the old one was in poor shape and badly installed.
With a 1974 302 under the hood and a ton of potential, we really can’t wait to see where Steve goes with this build! Go check out his build thread to know the story behind the truck, and be sure to show your support!
