The Big, Fat, 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum Photo Gallery
New product launches are always interesting events where the manufacturer often flies you to some exotic location to go on a prescribed drive route. They want you to have a good time, because if you have happy thoughts about the trip, you’ll have happy thoughts about the vehicle. At least, that’s the idea. We recently returned from the product introduction of the 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum after driving it across Canada, and here’s some eye candy photos to look at.
We landed in Kamloops, British Columbia, which has one of the smallest airports I’ve ever flown in to. It’s nestled on the west side of the Canadian Rockies, and has municipal, city-wide, WiFi (fun fact!). We then climbed into an Explorer Platinum and headed East towards Calgary, Alberta, stopping at Revelstoke for an overnight stay.
Driving through the Rockies, whether they be north of the wall Scott Walker wants to build or south, is something you all need to do sometime. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and well worth the long flights to get there.
Here are some of the photos of the new Explorer Platinum in this setting, along with a few other beauty shots from the Ford Explorer Platinum Adventure Tour.
Enjoy, and let us know what you think in the forums!
