Big Bronco Soars through the Shallow Pit: Muddy Monday
Relatively dry mud bog allows this Bronco to build big speed, leading to plenty of drifting in the slop.
This week’s Muddy Monday video comes to us from the CarWarz YouTube channel and it features a big body Ford Bronco playing in the pit at the Extreme ORV Expo in Ionia, Michigan. The huge pit is strangely dry, with a few semi-deep holes surrounded by a vast expanse of mud that is just deep enough to enjoy. The dry ground and shallow mud leads to some great high speed fun while the few deeper holes show that this big SUV can do some digging.
There are no details provided on the vehicle, but based on the exterior design, this appears to be a Ford Bronco from the 1977 through 1979 model years. The video title calls it a truck, but if you look closely, you can clearly see the ridge where the removable top seals against the back of the cab. The cap has been removed and a divider has been added to keep mud from hitting the driver in the back of the head while also isolating the heat of the exhaust system poking up through the bed.
As for upgrades, this Bronco sits considerably higher than a stock SUV, so it must have an upgraded suspension system, allowing the vehicle to handle the rough footing of the pit while also making plenty of room for the huge mud tires. Finally, this big Ford has the proper roar of a V8 engine and it is safe to assume that the V8 is not stock, as this old Bronco has no issue flying across the mud.
Shallow Mud, Big Speed
In most of our Muddy Monday videos, the trucks are attacking mud bogs that are deep enough to swallow up a normal street truck. As a result, those videos are more about just getting to the other side, whereas this Ford Bronco driver is using the dry conditions to show off big speed. The SUV blasts from side to side for the duration of the four-minute video, skimming across the dry dirt and slinging debris into the air as it drifts through the turns.
There are a few spots that are wet enough to create some real mud, but those portions of the pit are nowhere near deep enough to slow down this badass Bronco.
Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
