Ben Rhodes & His Ford F-150 Take Truck Series Win in Kentucky!
NASCAR champ wins on his home turf as ThorSport Racing gets its first victory with Ford Motor Company.
Ford Truck Enthusiasts sends a big shout out to NASCAR’s Ben Rhodes and his Ford F-150, which he just drove to victory in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kentucky Speedway.
The July 12 victory marks Rhodes’ second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win, and his first on his home track.
Rhodes’ win was one that required a bit of risk-taking that paid off. During the race, the 21-year-old Louisville native opted not to change his tires on the final pit, which allowed him to take the lead from Canadian driver Stewart Friesen by .922-seconds.
“I almost missed my stall with all the commotion going on,” Rhodes said in a post-win interview. “Huge night for us, though. This is our first win with Ford this year with ThorSport, so I’m pretty happy about that.”
Of course, a special congratulations goes out to ThorSport Racing for getting their first win with Ford Motor Company.
