Awesome 1973 Ford F-100 Explorer Hits the Marketplace
From shop manuals to complete trucks, here’s a look at the awesome finds we happened upon in the FTE Marketplace.
The FTE Marketplace is the right place to find everything for your truck, garage, den, and more. Whether it’s a full cab for your F-150 project, a 5.0-liter V8 from a Mustang that could give your Ranger the extra push over the cliff it needs down the quarter-mile, or marketing materials to dress up the presentation of your classic Bronco, you’ll find it in our marketplace.
Speaking of our marketplace, here’s some of the awesome things we came across this week.
Beautiful Original Paint 1973 F-100 Explorer Short Bed
This is definitely one of the most awesome things we found in the FTE Marketplace. This lovely orange 1973 F-100 Explorer has been in its current owner’s care since 2002, when it was purchased “from the grandson of the original owner who inherited it.” The truck has a custom fabricated and welded exhaust, the original stock wheels and hubcaps, and Ford 390 HiPo cast-iron headers.
I-6 out of 53 F100
Are you good with restoring motors? Got a 1953 F-100 in need of an inline-six? For $100, this I6 from a ’53 F-100 could find a home in the engine bay of your project truck. The owner says it has its three-speed manual, but is missing a water pump, and the originality of the engine is in question. If those issues aren’t one for you, though, then give the poster a ring.
1968-72 F Series Doors
Are the doors of your 1968 through 1972 F-Series project too rusted-out to even repair? Why not give these doors a go? The owner says the doors have their mirrors, but no visible rust or dents. The cool lettering is definitely a plus.
2018 F-250 Lariat Grill
Did your brand new F-250 have an unfortunate incident involving its grill? You could spend a pretty penny at the service counter, or you can pick up this unit for an F-250 Lariat for only $250 plus shipping. That’s not a bad deal to make your F-250 good as new.
Ford Factory Manuals
Working on your 2000 Excursion or Super Duty? These factory workshop manuals and electrical wiring diagrams will definitely come in handy. The seller bought the set from eBay last year, but also found a CD-ROM with the same contents. If you happen to live near Herndon, Virginia and are willing to pick them up, you’ll only need $250; otherwise, it’s $275 plus shipping to anywhere in the Lower 48.
Sync3 apim and screen with navigation
Finally, we have this SYNC 3 APIM and screen for a 2018 F-150. The seller recently swapped the 4-inch unit for an 8-inch model in their 2018 F-150, but wound up with a spare unit due to shipping and processing delays. If you’re in a similar spot, $650 will net you this technological wonder, which will be upgraded to SYNC 3 version 3.0 prior to shipment.
