All-new Harley-Davidson F-150 Hits the Production Line at Last
Debuting at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, Harley F-150 is a collab between the MoCo and Ford upfitter Tuscany Motor Co.
Last year, Harley-Davidson celebrated its 115th anniversary in Milwaukee. There, the MoCo announced a collaboration with Ford specialty vehicle outfitter Tuscany Motor Co. to outfit F-150s to look and feel like Harley’s greatest hits.
A few months later, the Harley-Davidson F-150 makes its production-ready debut at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, taking its place in the Ford booth from February 9 through 18.
“Motorcycle enthusiasts can once again enjoy dramatic Harley-Davidson design cues in the number one selling vehicle in America, the Ford F-150,” said Harley vice president of styling Brad Richards. “The strong reaction by the public to the concept truck at our anniversary event encouraged us to move the 2019 Harley-Davidson edition Ford F-150 into production. We look forward to fulfilling the dreams of fans who overwhelmingly asked for this special truck.”
The 2019 Harley F-150 is the successor to the 2000-2011 special editions built in a collaboration between the MoCo and the Blue Oval, which had been mainly a themed appearance package including items like seating made with Harley motorcycle jacket leather, and an exhaust system tuned to sound like a Harley. A total of 70,000 were made during that time.
For the 2019 Harley F-150, over 70 pieces were made specifically to give the best-selling vehicle in North America tons of MoCo flair, taking inspiration from the Fat Boy and CVO lines. Such pieces include Harley-branded Fat Boy-style 22-inch wheels, orange accents everywhere you look, and lots of Harley logos inside and out.
“Harley-Davidson is one of the most iconic brands in the world,” said Tuscany vice president Jeff Burttschell. “Working closely with [Richards], we created a truck which will allow anyone to drive a world-class vehicle that honors the rich heritage of Harley-Davidson. Built to be recognized from a distance as a Harley-Davidson F-150, we believe it will be an instant classic.”
The Harley F-150 can be ordered through select Ford dealerships around the world, with reservations made through harleytruck.com starting February 8. It’s great to see two American icons come together like this once again. We can’t wait to see these new trucks out on the highway.
