Aftermarket Raptor Grille Totally Transforms this Ford F-150
Installing a Raptor grille on a Ford F-150 is relatively cheap and easy. But do you like the look, or hate it?
We live in a day and age where appearances are, well, important. Perhaps more so than any other time in history. Blame social media, where people are quick to judge and even quicker to share those judgements with you. But there’s nothing wrong with vanity, for the most part. Especially when it comes to trucks. Because who doesn’t like driving something that turns heads? Without a doubt, that’s what motivated Reddit user bigfeenx to swap a Raptor grille onto his Ford F-150.
Surely, you won’t find too many people that don’t like this ever-popular upgrade. It’s an easy and quick way to completely transform the look of your truck, after all. And for the most part, you won’t find too many people that don’t like the way it looks. Well, except for those who don’t like how it pairs with a chrome bumper. Other than that, it was pretty much 100% positive feedback in this instance.
“I came to this sub today specifically to check for this update,” said xFulcrum. “Looks good. First 2018 model I’ve seen with the Raptor style grille. I saw the grilles themselves and was worried they looked odd but now that I see it installed, looks badass.” “150% better,” added SmallBalIs. “So satisfying to see the fake honeycomb gone.”
The OP scored his grille for $399 on eBay and mentioned that it was a very simple and straightforward install. Thus, it seems like a great way to really change the way your Ford F-150 looks. But we want to know what you think! Do you like the look of a Raptor grille on a regular F-150? Or do you think that it’s the truck equivalent of putting GT badges on a four-cylinder Mustang?
