The Abbreviated, Hilarious History of the Ford Truck

Even if you’re the resident Ford truck expert, this video is still a must-see!

Most of the folks reading this are dedicated philanthropists when it comes to Ford truck history. Heck, you already know everything there is to know about the greatest vehicle ever built, right? But if you’re one of those folks who believes that you can never really know it all, that’s OK too. Regardless of which camp you fall in, this video from YouTuber Donut Media is both informative and hilarious.

Making a sub-12-minute video dubbed Ford F-150: Everything You Need to Know is a bold move in itself. After all, this is a vehicle rich with history. And don’t let the title fool you – this spot covers Ford truck history, beginning from day one back in 1917. Not just the modern half-ton that we all know and love today.

Regardless of that little minor detail, the video is hilarious and entertaining. In fact, host James Pumphrey pumps up the venerable Ford truck so effectively it makes us want to go bust out some pushups. He forcibly rams facts down your throat, like this gem: “Ford’s been building trucks for a long-ass time.” And he notes that Ford was “largely responsible” for “changing the lives of millions of people.” Well, duh!

Overall, Pumphrey does a great job summing up a ton of information in mere minutes. From the O.G. TT to the birth of the I-beam to the domesticated, luxurious four-doors we drive today. And he does it all in a highly entertaining, giggle-inducing manner worthy of a watch. Sure, he doesn’t cover nearly everything in Ford truck history, but that would’ve taken hours. So just set aside your nitpicky nature, relax, and let loose a little. Who knows, you might even enjoy it!
