’76 Ford Bronco: Stunning Example of What Modern Upgrades Can Do
Just the right mix of old and new, coupled with lots of dollars, make this Ford Bronco worth drooling over.
The meteoric rise in popularity of the first generation Ford Bronco is most certainly a double-edged sword. The universal love these old off-roaders enjoy certainly drives prices higher, which isn’t a good thing for those who want one. But on the other hand, those values also allow folks to sink some cash into their old Ford Bronco and bring it back to a state of beauty. And then, we get to drool over the results.
Just feast your eyes on this Candy Apple Red 1976 Ford Bronco we spotted over at The Collector Car Network. Someone clearly spent some serious cash making this ‘ute into something very special. The paint is gorgeous, accentuating those factory lines perfectly. And the stance is equally appealing, thanks to a 3 1/2″ James Duff suspension lift coupled with a 2″ body lift.
That, along with cut fenders, makes room for polished aluminum 16×10″ Ion wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ 315/75/16 tires. Getting around is a piece of cake, thanks to power steering and front disc brakes. And we have no bones to pick with the choice of a crate 351 for power, either. With headers and a dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, we’re betting it sounds pretty awesome, too.
The interior is likewise a mix of old and new, with Corbeau seats complementing mostly stock components. There is a roll cage for safety and a new stereo for tunes, but certainly nothing offensive. All-in-all, this classic Ford Bronco is the perfect example of what a few modern upgrades can do for one of the most beloved models of all time.
