Watch a 700-Horsepower Shelby Ford F-150 Tear up a Ski Slope

By -

When you have 700 Shelby horses under your right foot, why bother taking the ski lift?

The driver featured in this video has access to the snow grooming machines at the Himos Ski Resort in Finland, and for that, we’re supremely jealous. In addition, he uses those groomers to carve a path for his supercharged, Shelby-built Ford F-150 which makes us even more jealous. As you may notice, this five-liter truck has been seriously massaged to make it far cooler than your standard fare F-150.

Shelby bumped the horsepower up to 700 with a screaming Whipple Supercharger, an all-aluminum intercooler, a larger diameter throttle body, high flow injectors, a Borla dual exhaust system, a cold-air intake (in this case it’s very cold air), and a re-mapped ECU. It’s a far cry from the stock 395 horsepower it initially had when delivered to Shelby! Add in a set of 18″ wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich KO2 tires for all-terrain grip (apparently even quite good in the snow), and a custom Shelby/Fox Shocks/BDS suspension system, and this is a truck that can get anywhere real quick.

Only 500 of these monsters were built, and we’d be surprised if this weren’t the only one of its kind shipped to Finland. The privilege of buying one in the US would set you back about $99,000! We can only imagine what the shipping and taxes to get one of these mean trucks to Himos might run. If you have a an entire ski resort to use as your truck playground, however, the cost just might be worth it.

What do you say?
