2018 Ford Expedition: 5 Reasons Why It’s a Road Trip Warrior
With a luxurious, comfortable, and gadget-clad interior, the 2018 Expedition is nicer than most roadside motels!
The family road trip is an American tradition that’s nearly as old as the automobile itself. Over the years our highway system has expanded, families have grown, and vehicles have gotten larger. As a result, so has our desire for more comfortable and convenient road warriors. The Ford Expedition has always been an excellent family mover due to its combination of space, capability, and comfort. But, the all-new model cranks it up to eleven.
Here are five reasons why the 2018 Ford Expedition is the ultimate tool for family vacationing.
Wi-Fi
Several modern vehicles have built-in Wi-Fi hotspots these days, but the Expedition can handle up to ten device connections at once. Funny enough, the Ford SUV only sits eight. If every person had a device connected, there’d still be two spots left open!
Charging Ports Galore
All the Wi-Fi in the world won’t do you any good if your gadgets are dead. If we counted correctly, the Expedition has (at least) ten power outlets. There are USB and 12v outlets in every row, plus a standard 110v plug for a laptop or gaming console.
No More Fighting
The 2018 Expedition is offered with two screens built into the headrests of the front seats. The screens can share one video source, but they can also get their own feed. This means one kid can be watching a movie, while the other one plays video games! To keep the front passengers sane, there’s an available Bang & Olufsen premium sound system.
Massage Envy
Let’s be honest, it doesn’t hurt the kids to sit in a car for eight hours. The grown ups? That’s a different story. The Expedition offers massaging seats on the range-topping models, which are also heated and cooled. Long trip? No problem
Safety
Protecting the family is of utmost importance. Even though we constantly strive to be safer drivers, life happens and we get distracted. When people get distracted, bad things happen. To help prevent “bad things” the new 2018 Expedition is loaded with lane-departure warning systems, and adaptive cruise control with full stop-and-go function. Not only will it help prevent accidents, but the stop-and-go feature makes traffic slightly less annoying.
