With a host of new and upgraded parts, this 71k mile, two-owner Ford F-250 is the perfect fixer upper.

If you’re looking for a cool new project, you don’t have to look any further than the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace. There you’ll find dozens of cool pickups offered up for sale by our many outstanding members. And unlike your average classifieds special, many of these trucks already have a slew of nice parts installed. One shining example of that is this sweet 1979 Ford F-250 Camper Special, which we found over here.

For starters, the truck and its original 460 V8 only have around 71,000 miles of use. Adding to the fun quotient is the fact that the original C6 transmission was professionally swapped for a Borg Warner 4-speed. And amazingly enough, this old Ford F-250 has enjoyed only two owners in its 39 years of existence!

The current owner purchased the pickup back in 2013 and has done a ton of work to it since. They’ve replaced things like the heater core, carb, plugs and wires, brakes, and wheel bearings with OEM parts. In addition, a host of upgraded parts have made their way into this nicely preserved Ford F-250. They include a high torque starter conversion, aluminum radiator and driveshaft, Gabriel shocks, and a Retrosound radio.

Outside of some surface rust on the frame, you won’t find any rot anywhere, which is rather unusual for a Dentside. And in case you’re the kind of person who likes their trucks totally stock, the original transmission and related parts come with it. Personally, we’d just cruise and enjoy this Ford F-250, fixing it up as we go. And if that’s your cup of tea, you won’t find a much better candidate than this!
