2020 Ford Bronco Emerges from Baby Bronco’s Leaked Shadow

Leaked pictures from a Ford event initially appear to reveal the 2020 Bronco. But there’s more here than meets the eye!

Fans of the Ford Mustang are well aware of the sudden, shocking leak of the forthcoming GT500’s appearance at a recent dealer event. And now, it appears that something similar has happened with the upcoming “Baby Bronco” that Ford teased a few months ago. Except this time around, Off-Road snagged these pictures from a “publicly accessible part” of a real Ford website instead of snapping a pic and posting it to Instagram. And if you look closely, you’ll notice that there’s more to this leak than meets the (initial) eye.

Off-Road believes that the vehicle you see here is, in fact, the 2020 Ford Bronco. The one we’ve all been dying to see. But if you look a little closer, you’ll notice that in the middle frame, its shadow is a larger, more squared-off vehicle, which just so happens to look just like the dirty sheet-covered 2020 Bronco teaser Ford graced us with earlier this year.

Off-Road.com does point out that this purported “Baby Bronco” doesn’t look exactly like the teaser image we received before, however. Which gives reason to believe that the vehicle we’re seeing uncovered here may actually be the regular Bronco we’ve been waiting for. But this wouldn’t be the first time we saw revisions occur between concept and reality. And at least to us, this new version looks a heck of a lot better than the old one up front.

There are plenty of vintage Bronco cues at work here, too. The round headlights, squarish grille, and taut body lines look great, in our honest opinion. Heck, we just think that Ford should call this thing the Bronco II and get it over with. Talk about instant brand recognition!

The sad thing about this revelation, however, is that we’re still left waiting to see the real deal. But judging by how many high profile leaks we’ve had recently, that might not be too far off, either!
