2019 Ford Ranger Colors: See the Full Spectrum
We’ve got all your 2019 Ford Ranger color options right here, plus a few suggestions on what hues we’d like to see!
We’re merely months from the arrival of the 2019 Ford Ranger on dealer lots after an extended absence. And while there are still many unanswered questions surrounding the new Ranger, we now know exactly what colors will be available on the new mid-size pickup. The new Ranger’s palette of colors will officially include Saber, Lightning Blue, Hot Pepper Red, Absolute Black, Magnetic, Ingot Silver, White Platinum, and Oxford White. We’ve included shots of all those those hues below for your viewing (and shopping?) pleasure.
But despite that wide array of available shades, we know that you’ll want something different. Paint and color options are very much personal preferences, after all. And there will undeniably be a few hues that we want to see covering the Ranger’s fresh new flanks. So we asked the folks in the Ford Truck Enthusiasts forums what colors they want to see on the 2019 Ford Ranger, and their responses certainly didn’t disappoint.
The first color suggestion, from Johnny Mayday, might just be our favorite, in fact.
“If I could pick any color from Ford’s paint box for the Ranger, it would have to be Grabber Blue. I’m actually keeping my fingers crossed they’ll use the Ranger as a platform for a new Lightning, and think this would be a perfect paint code for it.”
ODwyerPW‘s paint suggestion is a little more modern, yet certainly tasteful.
“I’d like to see a Champagne exterior and a light-colored mocha interior.”
Fat&Bald notes that there’s one particular hue that’s strangely missing from the initial mix of paint options. Which makes us pine for a Bullitt-inspired Dark Highland Green.
“How come there’s no green?”
And it looks like we’re not the only ones who want to see a green shade of some sort on the new Ranger.
“I’d like to see more outdoorsy colors like a nice green, maybe even a non-metallic khaki/tan,” said YoGeorge.
“I would definitely get one in a dark green with a tan interior,” adds Pgh Rebel. “I also like white the more I see it, too. Never had a white truck yet. Or, because it’s a Ranger and will have a 2.3 liter I-4 (albeit turbocharged), then I might as well order it to be a twin to my old ’86 and get a Medium Blue SuperCab with a blue interior.”
Gary E also points out that Ford isn’t offering a bright, traditional red hue on the new Ranger, either. Which is somewhat surprising. Thus far, we’ve gotten some excellent suggestions (and observations) regarding paint color choices for the 2019 Ford Ranger from our members. But now we want to know what you think. So head over here and tell us what hues you want to see on the new pickup. Or, if you’ve already spotted a favorite shade, tell us about that, too!
