2018 F-150 Black Widow: Now with Bigger Wheels!

By -

One of the nicer dealer-ready F-150 conversions is bigger and better than ever!

Aftermarket Ford F-150 conversions are a dime a dozen these days. Which is pretty nice if you want a lifted, restyled truck with the factory warranty intact. Most of the modifications on these trucks center around suspension and wheel/tire packages, with a few creature comforts thrown in for good measure. And one of the nicest you’ll find at any dealership are the F-150 Black Widow built by Southern Comfort.

SC offers all the parts you need to upgrade one of these trucks yourself, of course. But a simpler way to get your hands on one is to head to a Ford dealership and buy one brand new, already done. Town and Country Ford is a big F-150 Black Widow seller, so it’s no surprise that they got their hands on the very first one equipped with custom 22-inch Black Widow wheels.

With a massive deep dish and aggressive offset, the new wheels look pretty killer on this special rig. Even if they didn’t bother to clean it up after it rolled off the trailer. But even the 35×12.50 Toyo tires look a little smaller than they should wrapped around the aggressive wheels. Or maybe it’s the 6-inch lift. Still, Southern Comfort has to trim a little bit off the inner wheel well plastic and bumper crossmember to make them fit.

The new wheels are available in either all-black or black with silver inserts, which looks pretty awesome. And even though this particular F-150 Black Widow is based on an XLT, you’ll find custom two-tone leather seats inside. Sanded and painted interior trim pieces are a nice touch as well. Throw on a throaty Gibson exhaust, and you’ve got one pretty sweet package.

Not bad for new dealer conversion. You might lose a little sidewall with the bigger wheels, but on-road guys should happily make that trade-off!
