2017 Ford Raptor SuperCrew Makes It Easier to Hoon with Friends
For the past year, we’ve been treated to seeing the 2017 Ford Raptor in SuperCab form. While technically having four doors, the SuperCab just doesn’t have the same amount of space as a proper four door F-150. Does that mean that we’ll get the Raptor in SuperCrew form? Yes, yes it does.
Being shown to the public later this morning at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Raptor SuperCrew is everything you’d expect it to be, as long as your expectations are a Raptor with four big doors and tons of rear seat space.
The SuperCrew Raptor has a 145-inch wheelbase, which is an entire foot longer than the 133-inch SuperCab. Even though the SuperCrew is larger, it’s still approximately 500 lbs lighter than the previous Raptor SuperCrew, thanks to the use of lightweight aluminum alloy for the body.
Now, you can officially know for sure you can buy a Raptor that will carry your friends comfortably as you attack the sand dunes!
The 2017 Raptor SuperCrew will go on sale with the SuperCab later this year. We’ll be sure to bring you all the latest from the show floor at the Ford booth, including more Raptor news and photos, so stay tuned.
