2015 Ford F-150: How Would You Build It?
There are just as many ways to order a 2015 Ford F-150 as there are people who will buy one. Perhaps you are a work truck kind of person, and like manual windows and door locks.
Maybe you yearn to work as a King Ranch cattle rancher? Everyone has different needs and wants out of a new truck. We are here to ask; how would you build your 2015 Ford F-150?
Me personally? I’m an option box checker. So I’d quickly rack up a pretty expensive truck.
2015 Ford F-150 Platinum
Yes, I built a $62,530 truck. It’s not difficult to get a truck in the $50,000 plus range. That’s why the number one luxury vehicle on sale in the country is the Ford F-150.
Some options are not that expensive on the Platinum model; the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 is only a $400 upgrade over the 5.0L V8. Four-wheel drive, on the other hand, is a bit pricey at $3,425.
The cryptically-named 701A package adds the great 360 degree camera system, integrated tailgate step, lane keep assistance, and adaptive cruise control. You don’t think you need adaptive cruise control until you’ve been on a road trip with it.
The FX4 package at $770 gives you hill descent control, skip plates, and an off-road suspension. The $1,295 twin panel moonroof really isn’t a necessity, but it really brightens up the cabin, and is one of the largest I’ve seen in a truck.
Tuxedo Black is the color I’d want, as I think it looks epic on the new truck.
So now that you know how I’d build it, how would you configure the new truck?
